In a bizarre collaboration that challenges usual predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Uncovered

According to the formal statement, "A strange confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of banned ceremonies and terrifying transformations resonate through the shadows." The plot presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden sect.

The adventure centers on "bizarre tests and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Additional Material

Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana in addition to several items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

True to its name, "The Mystery" also features a original environmental puzzle that may eventually shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
